A widget for two people

Some things are easier
to say without words.

tacit sends one quiet bit of information to the person you live with. Not a message. Not a request. Just today, as it is.

The part nobody says out loud

It isn't that you stopped wanting to. It's that there's no good moment to bring it up.

Asking out loud puts someone on the spot. If the answer is no, it stings. If you're the one saying no, you feel like you let them down. So the easier thing is to say nothing — and after a while, nothing becomes the habit.

tacit doesn't fix tiredness, or work, or the years. It fixes exactly one thing: nobody has to go first.

  • You're open to it

Your side of the widget turns pink. That's the whole gesture.

  • They are

You'll see it on your home screen. No reply expected, ever.

  • Both of you

The dots move closer and turn gold. You both get told once.

  • Tomorrow

Everything is blank again. Yesterday isn't kept anywhere.

How it's built

One bit, and nothing else.

Every feature we left out was left out on purpose. An app like this becomes pressure the moment it starts keeping score.

Price

Free, and it stays free.

This app is for two people, so charging for it means asking your partner to buy something first — which is the exact conversation tacit exists to avoid.

There are no servers to pay for, and no ads, ever. If it helped, there's a tip jar tucked at the bottom of the one screen the app has.

tacit is free, and always will be.

If it helped, you can chip in.

Everything works without this.

You don't have to find the words tonight.
